Grief

Client : Exhibition

Category : exhibition. mentalhealth. Communication

Year : 2019

The following illustrations were part of the exhibition titled Luck, Death & Data. The exhibition was inspired by Nipah virus outbreak in my home town, Calicut in 2018. These illustrations were about grief and how it is processed and what builds resilience in people.

Last May, I reached a groundbreaking conclusion- humans are not immortal! Who would have thought, right? Ever since, I have been contemplating on that fact and on how to make living tolerable while being aware of our mortality. Design being my go-to-tool for figuring out most things made an excellent choice for delving into my overthinking capabilities. I have compiled some of those thoughts in the form of an exhibition and it was open to public in April 2019.

Loss is like a fall, you keep falling through the space that was holding you up. You suffocate. You lose all feeling. You fall into the depths. But you have to get up. You will get up and you will learn to breathe again.
